Ekzim Ninwicket

Ekzim Ninwicket is a male gnome wizard and one of the three rulers of Aspenwood. Like many of his race, he finds illusions come second-nature to him, so he chose to specialize in illusion spells, and in return did not study the schools of evocation or necromancy. He has a fascination with crystals, and uses a large amethyst crystal ball as an implement in many of his spells.

He enjoys spending time at the private magic school giving lectures and demonstrations on illusions. The battle mages appreciate what he can teach them, but due to the differences in their specialized styles, Ekzim and the battle mage commanders usually don't see eye to eye (as the battle mages focus almost exclusively on evocation magics, which Ekzim can not cast).

Quillan has written a play about Ekzim's life, titled "Crystals and Callouses".
