The dwarf smith is a shorter, younger version of Santa Claus with fiercly bristling eyebrows and a wide grin almost lost in his bush of a beard. Clumps of coal-black hair frequently escape from his braid and have caused more than one flaming hair day. His belly is well-encased with padding from Mrs. Wrafton's famous Suicide Stew.
