Paying for their drinks (and advising the bartender not to refer to them as 'traders/traitors'), the team of adventurers set out to investigate the house of the other murdered noble, in the hopes that it may be linked to Olain's death, or the framing of Arren, and met up with Alderick on the way. Arriving at the house, and finding they were unable to open the door, the priest and barbarian climbed the roof and descended through the chimney, unlocking the door from the inside (and tracking chimney soot through the house). A thorough search of the house revealed some items of interest, such as a note addressed to Olain, a book of the town's history, and a magical ring of unknown properties. The night passed without incident, and the next day the group decided to accept one of the assignments given them by the Adventurer's Guild, regarding an item lost by the inventor [[Lainlyrr Sunspear]]. After questioning Ms. Sunspear, the team learned that the item in question was a magical spoon, and had disappeared somewhere to the east. With that information the team set out, shortly arriving at a dark and foreboding cave.
