Serial Killer on the Loose!

Though this quest is still unresolved, the party has found several clues towards the identity of a possible serial killer on the loose in Sparrowdale. Two nobles, Olain Spellcheek and Morlour Oldarm were both found in their beds dead. The city officials had few leads, but the party was able to uncover some vital clues.

The most notable clue the party found was that the two nobles were plotting against the mayor. While this was of little use to finding the killer, it did prove essential in clearing the name of Arren, a local half-elf who was accused of stealing a valuable statue from Olain Spellcheek. Several other oddities have been uncovered- most notably that the victims are not robbed, and all of their possessions remain undisturbed- but as of yet no solid leads have been found.

Shortly after clearing Arren’s name and freeing him from The Sparrowdale Guardhouse, Spikeblood was murdered, in a manner strikingly similar to the other nobles. While most of the party believes him to be merely another victim of the serial killer, the town guards eliminated this possibility after careful questioning of Shamil. The information was not released to the public, however, and Spikeblood’s killer still remains on the loose. However, as Spikeblood was a recent visitor to Sparrowdale, there is little interest in apprehending the murderer.

The murderer of Olain Spellcheek and Morlour Oldarm is still sought after by the law, and though the party has set their sights on other goals for the moment, it is believed they will soon return to Sparrowdale to apprehend the criminal… hopefully before more are slain at the killer’s hand.
