Pengarond
Pengarond Miretano comes from a minor noble house of Nargothrond, an elven region not far from Sparrowdale. As his family was not the ruling noble house, he was able to pursue anything that piqued his interest; this happened to be religion and the art of war.
Pengarond's father gave him fine fencing instructors and the priests of Nargothrond tutored him in the rites and rituals of Corellon Larethian, deity of the elves. He honed his body into a perfect fighting machine, and his spirit into a conduit of Corellon's teachings. He was a bit more brash and over-eager than some of his instructors thought wise, but they believed it was just a phase (he was only one hundred years old, after all). After seeing the speed with which he could react to danger, and noting his stubborn desire to do things quickly, he gained the title "Quickeye" from his instructors.
After his father unknowingly offended the head of another noble house, Saeros Inglorion, Pengarond was chosen to lead an expedition into the surrounding hill country, where groups of gnolls had been gathering and posing a potential threat. Pengarond went enthusiastically, but unfortunately the task was too great for him. This was exactly what Saeros wanted, as he had been supplying the gnolls with arms and equipment, and wanted to get Pen's father back for making him look bad. With the rest of his expedition team killed or severely wounded, Pengarond came back to Nargothrond a failure (and came back with a nasty scar across his back to remind him for the rest of his life).
Pengarond felt he needed more "hands-on" training, so he left Nargothrond that day and set out to become a spiritual leader and holy warrior. Wanting to start over around people that would not know of his past mistakes, he travelled to the town of Sparrowdale, where he assists the local Corellon clergymen in their daily tasks.

General Questions & Answers
1) What does your character look like? Pengarond stands almost five feet tall and has a slim, yet muscular, physique (think swimmer's build). His long, pale golden hair comes down just past his shoulders, and a small braid on either temple connects into a ponytail in the back to keep it out of his face during combat. He wears a pale grey adventurer's outfit over his chain shirt, and around his neck is a necklace with the holy symbol of Corellon Larethian - a crescent moon. The longsword in the scabbard attached to his belt is of elven design, with a slight curve towards the tip. The same goes for his shortbow.
2) Does your character have any distinguishing marks or piercings? Just one - a jagged scar that cuts across his back, from his right shoulder down to his left hip. He received it from the gnoll battle.
3) Does your character have any unusual habits or physical traits? If he is perturbed, or just wants to see how far he can go before he actually angers someone, he'll "accidentally" mispronounce someone's name.
4) Does he have any titles or nicknames? Pengarond gained the nickname "Quickeye" from his swordfighting instructors, after they noticed how quickly he could react to danger, and how quickly he wanted to join the action. As a minor noble, he could actually be called "Sir Pengarond", but for the fact that he failed so miserably in his first mission.
5) Favorite motto or saying? "Die, infidel."
6) What is his greatest strength? His greatest strength is his faith - faith in his god, faith in his own abilities, and faith in those around him.
7) What is his greatest weakness? His greatest weakness is that he sometimes believes himself invulnerable, which has gotten more than one person killed.
8) What are his goals? Pengarond wishes to make up for the mistake he made in his past (though not actually his fault at all) by becoming a dedicated leader of men, someone others can look to for moral and spiritual guidance. And he wants to kill him some gnolls.
9) What is his greatest fear? The fear of being powerless to help those around him.
10) If your character had to quit adventuring, what would he do? Pengarond would establish a temple to Corellon somewhere, and every now and then remember the days of glory of his youth.
