3000 BS: Two great nations, Bael Turath and Arkhosia, rise to power simultaneously in the lands south of the Woldus Mountains.
2548 BS: Utu-Hegal ascends to the throne of Bael Turath, being the sixth king of the Hegal Dynasty.
2500 BS: After assassinating Utu-Hegal, Naram-Sin takes the throne. He and his viziers make pacts with archdevils to gain enough power to wage a war on Arkhosia.
2496 BS: Naram-Sin establishes the College of Shuruppak in Legash (capital of Bael Turath), being the first learning center devoted entirely to fiendish and arcane matters.
2490-2440 BS: The Sin War. Bael Turath crosses the Red River and invades Arkhosia. Through their dealings with the archdevils, the armies of Bael Turath come out victorious, but with unforseen consequences. During the course of the war, their physiology changes, slowly morphing into what became the tieflings, forever cursed with an infernal appearance.
- When it becomes known how they gained their power, the tieflings, now shunned by their former countrymen, are forced to scatter across the Free Lands. With no ruling or warrior caste, the empire of Bael Turath falls.
- In the aftermath of the war, the surviving dragonborn clans go their separate ways, deciding to never again present a unified front that could be wiped out with one stroke.
1000 BS: Elves in the Warderwilds region band together to found the nation of Nargothrond.
600 BS: Humans take over Tibira, an old dragonborn temple, and rename it Fort Lanton.
500 BS: Dwarves march into Mount Ugoras and fight the Battle of Belfalas, driving the ogre threat from the land.
1 AS: The Scouring. A firey mountain plumets from the sky and hurtles into the ocean off the coast of Geldarland, causing massive earthquakes which result in the destruction of the Underdark and the near-exinction of the dark elf race.
- The dwarves in the Woldus Mountains near the Falathar Caverns become trapped. Only one tribe from this area survives, but becomes twisted by their long exile and subterranean existence into the Duergar.
238 AS: The last humans in Fort Lanton die after a particularly harsh winter stopped them from getting much-needed supplies.
404 AS: Druids colonize a peaceful region not far from the Red River and name it Sparrowdale.
410 AS: The village of Ravenside is founded close to Sparrowdale.
412 AS: Pengarond Miretano is born in Tirion, a city in Nargothrond.
450 AS: The elven enclave on the outskirts of Therndale is destroyed.
460 AS: Human expansionists set out south from Sparrowdale, hoping to begin a new life in an area that can accomodate their dreams of a large city. They settle in what becomes Aspenwood.
560 AS: Current year.
